Editor

Shareen Hertel  is Professor of Political Science at the University of Connecticut and holds a joint appointment with the university’s Human Rights Institute. She is the author or co-editor of multiple books and  scholarly articles and has served as a consultant to foundations, nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) and United Nations agencies in the United States, Latin America and South Asia. Hertel serves on the editorial boards of Human Rights Review, Human Rights and Human Welfare, and the International Studies Intensives book series of Routledge.

 

Managing Editor

Catherine Buerger is Director of Research at the Dangerous Speech Project. Her work focuses on human rights and civil society responses to harmful speech. She manages JHR’s Methods Focus series, is a Research Affiliate of UConn’s Economic and Social Rights Research Group, and is an Editor for the Teaching Human Rights Database.

Benjamin Carbonetti is Director of the Human Rights Program at Trinity College. 

 

Book Review Editors

Sarita Cargas is Associate Professor in the Honors College at the University of New Mexico. 

Sandra Sirota is a post-doctoral research fellow at University of Connecticut’s Human Rights Institute

Rachel Chambers is an Assistant Professor of Business Law at University of Connecticut’s School of Business. 

Kelebogile Zvobgo is an Assistant Professor of Government at William & Mary and Founder and Director of the International Justice Lab.

Thomas Cushman is Deffenbaugh de Hoyos Carlson Professor in the Social Sciences and Professor of Sociology at Wellesley College.He is the Founding Editor of Human Rights Review, and the Founding Editor of the Journal of Human Rights.
